Ripple Ridge was beautiful

We had the cabin to ourselves on Sunday night, and got an early start (by our standards) to the day on Monday.


Phillip's new board worked great for acid drops and shredding pow. We enjoyed many fresh lines that day. Hiking can be quite dehydrating, but the snow is refreshing. mmmmm...


It was especially nice to see the sun come out for our last day up at the cabin.

Back to Nelson I go!

Three years ago Phillip convinced me to take an avalanche course with him. Not only did I start this blog on that trip to Nelson BC, but also met my wife (she's a babe).


I flew to Castlegar two weeks ago to climb some mountains. Jim Z picked me up from the airport, and we drove to the maintenance lot to find Phillip. A few steps later we were atop Evening Ridge... what a view!
