Chillin out...

maxin, relaxin by the pool. Well it was the neighbors pool... but who cares, that's not the point. I spent the weekend on the sunshine coast, hanging out on my aunt and unkles new deck, drinking G & T's with my Nana (isn't she the cutest). They moved to the coast on July first and couldn't have scored a nicer pad. The view was wonderful and the garden was epic. Thanks again Auntie Kim.

Hitching to great success.

I had my first real hitch - hiking experience this weekend, and I don't think it could have gone any better. I got picked up in Nelson (after waiting only 20 minutes) by a lovely gentleman who was going paragliding in Ymir. After being dropped off just outside Yimr, I waited a mere 5 - 10 minutes and was picked up by two beautiful people named Malorie and Kevin. They were on there way to meet there friends from Cranbrook in Creston to go swimming in the river. So we stopped in Salmo for beers and subs, and continued on to Creston, to the best rope swing I've ever swung on. After a refreshing dip Malorie's friends took me to Moyie were they were going to visit some family. I took a photo of the road sign outside of town and turned around to be picked up by the Eh team van... What a ride. The Sullivan Challenge was as rad as it always is.... well, more so I'd say due to the extreme amount of new potholes to be found on the course. Thanks Jody!!!

Down the rabbit hole

Alice in Wonderland descended upon Trout lake this Sunday, and Neaqeah and I creeped on it.

I'd like to give a big shout out to Vanessa for helping me to "GET SOME".

Babes on bikes

The weather cooperated on Friday and made for the largest Critical Mass I've experienced to date. There must have been well over 1000 people, and with June being bike month, I expect that number to at least triple.

Pulling race entry fee's from my ass

I'm going to be printing up some 8X10's for those that are interested. You can pick them up from me at Attack of Danger Bay next weekend. But you must let me know which photo you'd like printed by this coming Tuesday (May 12th) otherwise it won't be finished in time for my Friday after work departure. The price for one photo is $40, but if you want two it'll be $60 (for the pair). Here's some links to online gallery's, and if you've seen a photo that I took over the years that you'd like, email me and I'll do my best to track it down for you.

Photography is dangerous

The Salt Spring Slasher (2nd race of the season) went off without a hitch. Maybe a skitch or two... thanks Gord! Adrian put a bunch of us up at the English family homestead, and after a day of racing we tested Kevin's new incence burner while sitting around the fire. Mr. English made us breakfast the next morning before we departed for the campsite on the side of the racecourse where we hooked up with the remaining troops that were down to free ride the island. There was a slight mishap and I unfortunately used my face to smash my camera lens on the pavement. So if you'd like to see the last set of photos that lens will ever take, check out UNKLE.CA or click the photo on the right.

The Weekend Adventures...

Seem to never end. Last weekend we hit up Vancouver Island. Mt. Tolmie in Victoria provided for some awesome photo opportunities. We also kicked off the race season with The Sultan of the Shredder, where Andrew destroyed his competition.Check UNKLE.CA for Tolmie and Shredder photos. Next up... The Salt Spring Slasher.
